Day two begins after a nice warm breakfast at the accommodation you and your family will be stationed at. Post breakfast the journey will commence down the scenic Seward Highway, crossing the Turnagain Arm. This location is home to some of the world’s largest bore tides that cause a massive wave into the waterway each day. Next, the group will head on out to the Alaska SeaLife Center, a world-class aquarium that is a part of many international projects.
The rest of the afternoon will be at your leisure to explore Seward on your own. Or you can choose an adventure-packed afternoon in Alaska while dog sledding, kayaking or hiking across a glacier.

Day three will see the group boarding a few catamarans (a class of sailboat) that will cruise through the waters of Kenai Fjords National Park. The park is home to the icy waters flowing from over 40 glaciers flowing down the coastal mountains. The flowing stream of icy waters creates icy pathways into the sea. The national park is rich in marine wildlife and home to several different species like puffins, porpoises, humpbacks and many more.
The lunch will be served onboard the catamaran, while your tiny globetrotters meet up with the park ranger. The ranger will also guide and help the younglings with earning their first junior ranger badge of the trip.

Day four will see the group travelling back north and stopping on the way to explore the wilds surrounding the mountain town of Girdwood. Post this you can make your way along a winding path through the northernmost forest in North America. After this, you get to board a hand-operated tram and pull your family across a gushing stream of water. Then you will get the chance of riding the gondola up to Mount Alyeska for a mesmerizing view of the hanging glaciers.
The day ends with your arrival in Talkeetna, which is a small quirky town that welcomes mountaineers planning a climb up to Denali’s Lofty summit.

Day five of the tour will witness the group heading towards Denali National Park. As we get closer to the national park we get closer to Denali or “the great one”, which is the highest peak in North America. There are several other peaks in the region, but Denali dominates the horizon of the national park and the surrounding region. On reaching the gateway you get to pick up the junior ranger packets for the young ones and then meet a field guide at the Denali Educational Centre. The guide takes the young ones across the centre educating them about the ecosystem of the region and how the natives used to survive the region’s harsh weather conditions for generations.

In the afternoon the group will be taken to the humble abode of a true Alaskan hero, Jeff King. Mr King is the four-time winner of the gruelling, 998 miles long Iditarod dog-sledding race. Here the young ones will have the opportunity to snuggle up to some cute husky puppies. And watch grown champion sledding dogs go through their summer training regime.

This morning the group will head-on into the heart of the National Park and preserve for a wildlife safari. The park’s unique wildlife stands out in the vast landscape of the preserve; the drive across the park is the best way to observe them in their natural habitat. The next stop will be the Eielson Visitor Center where you’ll have the opportunity to spot Denali’s “big five” like the Dall sheep, moose, caribou, grizzly bears and the ever-elusive wolves.

Day seven will commence with a meet up with the locals of Alaska and get to know all about their way of life in the snowy haven. Post this the group will set off for a hike with a naturalist guide from the Denali Educational Center. Here the kids will have the chance to wrap up their junior ranger activities. The afternoon will be at your leisure or you can choose to cruise the higher summit of Denali in an exciting helicopter ride.

The morning on day eight will be at your leisure to take a final hike or an optional scenic river cruise. Post that the group will commence its journey back to Anchorage. In the evening join the group for the final farewell dinner and celebrate the exciting end of the tour.

Today the tour ends with breakfast and you’re free to leave at your convenience. Transfer to the airport at your expense and take your flight back to your home country, with wonderful memoirs of an awesome trip across Alaska.
