Terms and Conditions
These Terms and Conditions apply to your use of happyjourneyuae.com and to travel services requested or booked through Happy Journey Travel and Tours LLC. By confirming a booking, making payment or using a service, you agree to these terms and any additional conditions stated in your quotation, invoice, itinerary, ticket, voucher or supplier rules.
1. Our role
Happy Journey arranges travel products supplied by airlines, hotels, tour operators, destination management companies, activity providers, transport companies, cruise lines, insurers, charter operators, visa service providers and other independent suppliers. Unless expressly stated otherwise, we act as an intermediary and the supplier’s fare rules, conditions and policies also apply to your booking.
2. Quotations and availability
A quotation is based on availability and pricing at the time it is issued. Airfares, hotel rates, taxes, exchange rates, visa fees and supplier charges may change without notice until the booking is confirmed and required payment is received. A quotation does not guarantee availability. Images and descriptions are illustrative and may be provided by suppliers.
3. Booking confirmation
Your booking is confirmed only when we issue written confirmation, a ticket, voucher or booking reference after receiving the required payment and traveller information. You must review all names, dates, routes, passport details, room types, inclusions and exclusions immediately. Tell us promptly about any error. Supplier fees may apply to corrections or rebooking.
4. Prices and payment
- Prices are normally quoted in UAE dirhams unless another currency is clearly stated.
- The amount payable, deposit, balance due date and accepted payment method will be shown in the quotation or invoice.
- A booking may be cancelled or released if payment is not received by the deadline.
- Bank, card, payment gateway, exchange-rate or transfer charges may apply and are the customer’s responsibility unless stated otherwise.
- The payer confirms that they are authorised to use the chosen payment method. A pending, failed or reversed payment does not confirm a booking.
- For fraud prevention, we may request reasonable proof of identity, cardholder authorisation or proof of payment before issuing a service or refund. Never send a CVV, PIN or full card number by email or WhatsApp.
- We may correct an obvious pricing or system error before confirmation. If an error is discovered after payment, we will offer the available corrected option or a refund of the affected amount where appropriate.
5. Traveller names and documents
Names must exactly match the traveller’s valid passport or identification document. You are responsible for checking passport validity, blank pages, visas, permits, vaccinations, health requirements, transit rules and entry or exit conditions for every destination. Requirements may depend on nationality, residence status, route and personal circumstances and may change at short notice.
6. Visa support
We may assist with document submission or visa support, but the final decision and processing time belong solely to the relevant embassy, consulate, immigration authority or authorised provider. We do not guarantee approval, processing time or entry. Government, supplier, service or processing fees may be non-refundable after submission or after work has begun. Any non-refundable amount will be disclosed before payment or submission. Refusal, delay or additional-document requests do not automatically entitle the traveller to a refund of related travel bookings.
7. Changes requested by you
Change requests are subject to availability and supplier rules. Fare differences, amendment fees, cancellation fees and our disclosed service charges may apply. Some tickets, hotel rates, packages, activities and promotions are non-changeable or non-refundable. A name change may be treated as a cancellation and new booking.
8. Cancellations and refunds
Our separate Refund & Cancellation Policy forms part of these terms. Cancellation must be requested through our official contact channels. The amount refundable depends on the supplier’s rules, the timing of the request, services already provided and any non-refundable charges. Any non-refundable service or processing fee will be disclosed before payment. Where a supplier approves a refund, we will return the amount received from that supplier after deducting only charges disclosed in advance and permitted by applicable law. Processing time depends on the airline, hotel, supplier, bank and original payment method. Refunds are generally made to the original payer or payment method. Supplier approval, supplier release of funds and bank or card processing times are separate stages, and currency or banking charges may affect the amount received.
9. Changes or cancellation by a supplier
Airlines and other suppliers may change schedules, routes, aircraft, hotels, rooms, activities, transfers or other arrangements for operational, safety or regulatory reasons. We will assist in communicating available alternatives, credits or refunds according to the supplier’s policy and applicable law. We are not responsible for a supplier’s independent decision, but we will provide reasonable booking support.
10. Travel insurance
We strongly recommend suitable travel insurance covering cancellation, medical expenses, emergencies, baggage, delays and other relevant risks. Insurance coverage is governed by the insurer’s policy wording, exclusions and claims process. You are responsible for deciding whether the coverage meets your needs.
11. Traveller conduct and special needs
Travellers must follow applicable laws, supplier rules, safety instructions and reasonable standards of conduct. Tell us before booking about mobility, medical, dietary or other assistance needs. We will communicate requests but cannot guarantee them unless confirmed by the relevant supplier. A supplier may refuse service where conduct creates a safety, legal or operational concern.
12. Check in and missed services
You are responsible for arriving by the stated check-in or meeting time and carrying all required documents. Missing a flight, transfer, tour, activity or hotel check-in may result in cancellation of remaining services and additional costs. Unused services may be non-refundable under the supplier’s rules, subject to applicable law.
13. Baggage
Baggage allowance and restrictions vary by airline, fare and route. Excess, special or sports baggage charges are normally payable by the traveller. Loss, delay or damage claims must be reported promptly to the carrier and handled under the carrier’s conditions and applicable rules.
14. Events beyond reasonable control
Travel may be affected by weather, natural disasters, public-health events, war, civil unrest, government action, border restrictions, strikes, technical failures, airport disruption or other events beyond our reasonable control. In such cases, remedies and refunds depend on supplier policies and applicable law. Additional costs for accommodation, transport, meals, changes or repatriation may be payable by the traveller unless covered by a supplier, insurer or applicable law.
15. Liability
We will provide our own services with reasonable care and skill. Independent suppliers remain responsible for the services they operate, while we remain responsible for our own acts or omissions as required by applicable law. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limits any mandatory consumer right.
16. Website use
Website content is provided for general information and may change. You must not misuse the website, attempt unauthorised access, introduce harmful code, copy protected content without permission or use the website for unlawful activity. We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free access.
17. Intellectual property
Unless otherwise stated, the website design, text, branding, graphics and original content belong to Happy Journey or its licensors. Supplier names, photographs, logos and descriptions remain the property of their respective owners.
18. Complaints
Nothing in these terms prevents you from using any mandatory complaint or consumer remedy available under applicable law. Raise any problem as soon as possible while travelling so the supplier and our team have an opportunity to assist. If the matter is not resolved, send a written complaint with your booking reference and supporting documents to wecare@happyjourney.ae. We will review it and respond within a reasonable time.
19. Governing law
These terms are governed by the applicable laws of the United Arab Emirates and the Emirate of Abu Dhabi. Subject to any mandatory consumer complaint or dispute procedure, the courts of Abu Dhabi will have jurisdiction.
