Detailed Day-by-Day Tour Program
Day one of the Thailand tour will begin with your arrival at the Suvarnabhumi International Airport. Post arrival our representative will meet you at the departure gate and facilitate your transfer in a private air-conditioned vehicle to your hotel in Bangkok. After check-in, you are free to do as you please with the rest of the day at your own leisure.
Day two will commence with a healthy Thai breakfast at the hotel's all-day dining restaurant. Post breakfast you will begin a tour of the city of Bangkok with a visit to the Grand Palace and the “Emerald Buddha Temple”, Wat Phra Kaeo. Before you enter the main gate of the temple of the Emerald Budhha, you will have the opportunity to stop by the Royal Regalia Museum to witness the beautiful decorative jewellery, which was once adorned by the royal officers and consorts while assembling in the Royal court. The next stop in Wat Pho will be the famous “Reclining Buddha Temple”, which is one of the biggest and the oldest temples in Thailand and home to a whopping 95 pagodas, the largest in the world.
In the afternoon, the tour will continue on a long-tailed boat along the Chao Phraya River to witness the local Thai people and their day-to-day lifestyle. Post that you will be able to witness the Grand Palace from the boat and stop for a brief visit to the Royal Barge Museum. Which houses the ceremonial king’s barges decorated with multi-coloured stucco, glass, and gilt. In the evening, we will again disembark on the long-tailed boat to pay a visit to Wat Arun, which translates to the “temple of Dawn”. Another reason for visiting the temple is to explore the tallest prang in Thailand.

Day three of the tour will start with breakfast at your hotel in Bangkok. Post that you will be transferred to the nearest domestic airport for your flight to Chiang Mai. Once you arrive in Chiang Mai you will be welcomed and transferred to your hotel in Chian Mai. In the afternoon you will be taken around to visit and explore some of Chiang Mai’s most popular temples. Some of which will include places like Wat Chiang Man, Wat Phra Singh and Wat Suan Dok, which is home to the North’s largest Royal Chapel. The evening is free at your own leisure followed by an overnight stay at the hotel in Chiang Mai.

Day four will take you on a tour of Wat Phra That Doi Suthep, which is one of the most popular tourist attractions of Chiang Mai. The temple lies on top of the Doi Suthep Hill which is approximately 3,500 feet above sea level, overlooking the entire city of Chiang Mai. The temple is one of the holiest religious places in Chiang Mai as it serves as the repository of a sacred relic of Lord Buddha. Post that you will continue your visit to the Phu Ping Palace and his Majesty’s Winter Palace which lies 4,000 feet above sea level.
In the afternoon you will head out for a leisurely bike ride along the Ping River over tranquil trails that cross through the local fruit orchards, rice paddies and small villages. During your bike ride, you are free to stop at local markets, temples, traditional Thai houses and schools.

After the morning breakfast, you will head out to the Elephant Training Centre in Ta Yaak Village of Chiang Dao district, which lies approximately 70 km from Chang Mai. En route, you will pass by several local villages and witness the day-to-day lifestyle of the local Thai people living in these villages. Some of these locations include villages like Mae Taeng, Mae Rim, and several hilly tribal villages, including the long-neck hill tribe.
On arrival at the training center, you will meet the elephants at the Chiang Dao Elephant training camp that lies on the banks of the Mae Ping River. Here you will have the chance to get on the backs of these elephants and take an exciting trek around the camp, through the jungle, and along the river. Post that you will embark on a scenic cruise on the Mae Ping river aboard rafts made of bamboo and enjoy mesmerizing views of the river. After this, we return to the hotel in Chiang Mai for an overnight stay.

Day six will begin with leaving the hotel in the city and moving to the countryside of Chiang Mai to enjoy a cooking class with a local Thai family in a local village. Once you arrive at the location the head chef of the house will take you for a walk around the farm and the other ingredients and herbs they grow fresh at their ancestral home. Post that you get to choose the three dishes you wish to cook for the afternoon lunch, which later you will enjoy with your and Chef’s family. Post this you will head back to the hotel for the rest of the day at your own leisure.

Day seven will commence with a check-out and a scenic drive of approximately three hours to Chiang Rai, with a periodic stop on the way to the Wat Rong Khun. The temple stands out from the other temples in Thailand, as it is entirely made out of radiant white blocks of plaster with mosaics of reflective mirrors embedded in the plaster. Post that you will break for lunch at a local restaurant. On your way to Chiang Rai, you will have the opportunity to capture the lifestyle of the tribal people of the area with your camera lens. On arrival, you will check in to the resort in Chiang Rai and have the rest of the day at your own leisure to either relax or explore the resort, its surroundings and its numerous facilities.

Day eight begins after breakfast at the hotel in Chiang Rai, after which you head on out for an exciting excursion to Mae Sai. The location lies on the border of Thailand and Burma where we will make a stop at Tha Chilek. After finishing the immigration formalities you will cross the Sai River into Tha Chilek, where you will witness the local Burmese lifestyle in a nearby village. There are several tricycle tours you can take to see Tha Chilek's Shan-style temple and to tour the town through lanes and side streets, ending at the local market, displaying products from southern China, Laos and Burma.
Post this you will continue to visit the world's famous Golden Triangle, a place where the borders of Thailand, Laos and Myanmar converge. Post lunch at a local restaurant you will head to the Hall Of Opium, which is an insightful museum that talks about the history of the Golden Triangle and the region’s Opium Trade. This multi-million dollar museum lies in the sleepy village of Baan Sop Ruak and talks about the region’s history with the Opium trade.

The final day of the tour will allow you to have the morning at your leisure until your transfer to the airport. Post that you will be taken to the Chiang Rai Airport for your transfer to Bangkok. On arrival at Bangkok International Airport, you will board your flight back to your home country, with memories of a wonderful vacation in the “Land of Smiles” that last for a long time to come.
