Day two will commence with a visit to the Chimpanzee Sanctuary on Ngamba Island. The sanctuary was built in collaboration with the Jane Goodall Institute as a refuge for rescued and orphaned chimpanzees. After that, you get to explore the Ugandan Wildlife Education Centre.

On day three the group will head on out to the Kibale National Park and check-in at the lodge in the park. After that, you will meet up with a local researcher and go looking for some of the local wildlife. Some of these include the red and blue-tailed monkeys, chimpanzees, black and white colobus and the hard to find L’Hoest monkeys.

On day four the group will head on out to the Bigodi Wetland Sanctuary. The sanctuary is a haven for bird lovers, as it is home to over 130 species of birds. The rarest and the most elusive species to be found here is the Great Blue Turaco. The sanctuary is rich in biodiversity and home to a mesmerizing landscape of scenic beauty.

Day five of the journey will continue with tracking Chimpanzees and exploring the national park. The park is a popular location for viewing six species of primates in addition to chimps. Some of the primate species can be seen foraging for food in the mornings. These include olive baboons, vervets, red-tailed, L’Hoest and blue monkeys, black and white colobus, Ugandan red colobus and the Ugandan mangabey.

The morning begins with a hearty breakfast at the Kyambura Gorge Lodge. After breakfast, the group will head on out to Queen Elizabeth National Park for a wild Safari. During the safari, you get to witness the likes of lions, elephants, Ugandan kobs and many more in their natural habitat. Post this the group will head out for an afternoon wildlife cruise after lunch.

Day seven commences with a trip to the Bwindi Lodge for your check-in. Post that the group will head on out to the Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, which homes to almost half of the world’s population of mountain gorillas also known as silverbacks. Head into the national park and sit amongst them and witness the planet’s most endangered species in close proximity.

The ninth day begins with the group crossing the Rwandan border and making their way to the Volcanoes National Park. On reaching the lodging you would be able to settle in your private villas overlooking the region's volcanoes and lakes. Post this you will meet up with professionals at the Dian Fossey Gorilla Fund’s Karisoke Research Centre to learn more about the latest conversation efforts that are underway.

Day ten will see the group again leaving for the Volcanoes National Park for a day filled with tracking of the majestic silverbacks. In the evening the group will return back to the lodge and enjoy a traditional dance performance by the local tribespeople.

The final day of the journey will see the group leaving for the Volcanoes National Park in search of the rare and endangered golden monkeys. Post lunch, you will be transferred to the nearest international airport for your flight back home.
